What is Mediation?
Mediation is a process used to help people reach agreement. In this process, a neutral, trained mediator works with the parties to discuss all of the issues related to their family conflict, to explore possible options for settlement, and to identify solutions that best meet the needs of each person involved.
What is ENE?
ENE stands for Early Neutral Evaluation. It is a form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) that is similar to mediation but is evaluative in style. Social Early Neutral Evaluation (SENE) is conducted with a team of two evaluators, one male and one female, and addresses custody and parenting time issues. Financial Early Neutral Evaluation (FENE) is conducted with just one evaluator and deals with asset and debt division, child support, and spousal maintenance.
